Volume 1: Basics - James D Hamilton - 1994 pdf Principles of statistical modeling (first edition) - Robert G. Stoll - Oxford University Press - 1985.pdf Part IV: Time Series Analysis - Robert G. Stoll - Oxford University Press - 1994.pdf Time Series Analysis - Applied Statistical Methods - Rajarshi Roy - Springer - 1997.pdf Q: closing event not being triggered when calling the close button on an XtraGrid view I'm using a custom control that uses a XtraGrid view and uses a Close button to perform a functionality that is triggered by the closing event on a XtraGrid. The code used is: procedure TZInteract.ViewClose(Sender: TObject); begin MessageBox(Sender.Handle, 'test', MB_OK); end; I've set the Handles to be overridden in the Initialization and Closing events of the Grid but the Close event isn't being triggered. Is there a way to trigger the event when the control is closed? Update: I've noticed that it doesn't happen when I close the form using the button on the right-top corner of the form (FormCloseEvent). I have another form where I'm using a custom component and I'm closing the view as described in the picture: A: I've found the solution: the code above does work, it only doesn't work on a form that contains a grid. The reason for that is that the MainForm.Close doesn't do anything, it just hides the form. To close the form correctly we have to use the Form.Close, in this case the Closing event is triggered and I can handle it. There is a difference between "Disposing" the form and closing it. when you use Form.Dispose, the form and all the controls in it get disposed but the form is still open. In this case the OnClose event is not triggered. when you use Form.Close, the form is closed and the controls get disposed. In this case the OnClose event is triggered.
